Common questions

Can I change plans later?
Yes. Use the Stripe billing portal from dashboard Settings to change plans. Upgrades can take effect immediately with Stripe proration. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the next renewal date unless the portal shows a different Stripe-managed effective date.
What happens after I sign up?
After sign-up, you complete a quick onboarding flow with your business profile, first service, and operating hours, then pick your plan. Stripe handles billing.
Is there a free trial?
Starter and Growth include a 30-day free trial. Your card is collected at checkout but will not be charged until the trial ends. Free trials include traffic-safe Helm hosting for setup and testing. Production traffic cutover or high-traffic migration may require an active plan or approved launch arrangement. Business is self-serve, setup-free, and does not include a free trial by default.
Can referrals change my trial or billing?
A valid referral can give new Starter or Growth merchants 30 extra trial days when attribution reaches checkout. Business stays paid immediately. Referrer rewards are reviewed account credits after an eligible paid invoice; they are not cash payouts, instant credits, or automatic Stripe coupons/customer balances.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards are supported through Stripe.
What is the difference between Growth and Business commerce?
Growth gives you self-serve Store + Orders: catalog, storefront, checkout, order management, review requests, waitlist, and customer history. Business is also self-serve and adds advanced catalog and checkout controls, promotions and coupons, campaign visibility, supported selling-plan records, customer order lookup, gift cards, loyalty, events, roles/rights, audit trail, simple shipping/tax estimates, multi-location operations, and 10 staff seats.
What is not included in Business?
No. Business does not include Advanced messaging automations, POS, SSO or SCIM, separate legal entities, separate Stripe accounts, independent billing tenants, a Shopify-scale app marketplace, carrier-label purchasing, duties/tax engines, multi-warehouse inventory, Google Business Profile review sync, or public review widgets.
Does Helm handle shipping and tax compliance?
Business includes merchant-configured shipping and tax or fee rules. These help estimate checkout totals, but they are not legal, tax, customs, or compliance advice.
Do you offer enterprise plans or advanced integrations?
Not as a standard self-serve plan. Starter, Growth, and Business are the current checkout plans. If you need a custom integration, migration, or scope beyond what Business offers, contact support so Helm can review it separately before making a promise.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no lock-in contracts and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard settings.
